Our principles

Walburg Pers is committed to supporting accessible publishing. The European Accessibility Act (EAA) aligns with our commitment to inclusivity and equal access to knowledge and quality, peer-reviewed research. We view accessibility as not only a legal obligation but a moral imperative that strengthens the academic community as a whole.

Our books

Walburg Pers titles follow the Web Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), the highest possible standard.

All our forthcoming titles are published as accessible ePubs as well as PDFs. These ePubs pass Daisy's Ace WCAG 2.1 Level AA checks. This information is included in each metadata record.

Our website

Walburg Pers works closely with our web development team, Soflomo, to test and improve our website accessibility. We have made continual improvements to our website since the announcement of the act. We are undergoing website development so that soon the aup.nl website will follow the Web Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
